⛏️ Brief History

Geraldton is the fourth-largest city in Western Australia and the administrative center of the Mid West region. Founded in 1850, it was named after Governor Charles Fitzgerald. The city has a rich maritime history, including shipwrecks like the famous Batavia in 1629 on the nearby Houtman Abrolhos islands. Today, it’s a thriving regional center known for its fishing industry, port, and as a gateway to the stunning coastline and islands.
