From Maylands, reaching Kuala Lumpur is a journey of approximately 5,200 km. The most practical route is flying from Perth to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) – a direct flight takes about 5.5 hours. Airlines including Malaysia Airlines, AirAsia, and Singapore Airlines operate this route with connections through Singapore or Denpasar for some services.

Alternatively, the overland adventure would involve flying to Darwin, then connecting through Southeast Asian capitals – truly an epic journey across the continent.
